Last night I went to a great concert at the Uptown Theatre in KC. Nick got tickets for the concert and gave one to me as a Christmas present. The concert was fantastic! Coheed and Cambria was a really good band, and the headliners, Jimmy Eat World, were even better than I hoped.
Overall, the night went really well… once we plugged our ears with some napkins, that is. It was obscenely loud, so rather than bleed to death out our ears, we opted for slightly muffled sound. It didn’t make much of a difference. I was glad to have it for the opening bands, though. They weren’t anything to write home about, and we took any opportunity to prevent some of their "music" from assaulting our ears.
