Since it’s been so long, and I really don’t remember all the details anymore, here are the notes I made for myself about the rest of my vacation. They are in pretty rough form, but they serve their purpose well enough. Perhaps at some point I’ll come through and clean it up a bit.
Day 4
Sea Fair
-Looked like a military recruitment camp
Saw hydroplane races
-Just missed a crash
Saw Blue Angels
-Camera died towards the end
–Still got some good pics
Went to Fry’s
-Got 1TB external HDD
Drove around Renton
-People going to the park were in our way, and we couldn’t drive down the road we needed to get home
-Wound up driving around
Watched TV with Dad
Watched Men in Tights before bed
Day 5
Went to the office
Played the “hurry up and wait” game
officially got offered the job
-turned it down in favor of staying a contractor
Day 6
went into office again
-still didn’t get much work
-went home early
went to the pool
relaxed and worked on website a bit
spaghetti for dinner
Day 7
rode bus into seattle
-first time by myself
went to emp/sfm
-cool guitar sculpture
-lots of interesting stuff in both sides
went to aquarium
-school groups
went to art museum
-got pounced on for taking a pic
ate at same hot dog stand
Day 8
relaxed all day
worked on website some
-added some ajax for admin stuff
went to pool for a couple hours
made meatloaf for dinner with dad
Day 9
went into seattle with dad
went to space needle
went to science center
-dark knight was sold out at imax
–dad didn’t want to drive back for the 10pm show
finally found something nice for becca
went to dinner with ron
-seafood place
-tried king crab
–pretty good
-had a good burger
took one of the last buses back home
watched the last half of the olympic opening ceremony while packing before bed
Day 10
up early (7am)
at airport by 8:30
first flight at 10am
-no free wifi… bored sitting in terminal
flight left 20 mins late… and i have a connecting flight with a 1 hour layover to start with
-made up some time in the air
-had just enough time to grab lunch before second flight
phoenix to get to kc from seattle… oy
landed at 6:30pm (only ~6 hours flight time total)
isabel and becca picked me up
went to mom & dad’s to change for swing
went to swing
home early… very long day
